Free Our Midwives :: An Afternoon of Activism & Community

As part of our line-up of events to prepare for Lobby Day 2010, BirthNet of the Fingerlakes is hosting An Afternoon of Activism & Community. Learn and take action supporting NY state midwives while enjoying a potluck meal.  Kids activities, speakers, photo booth to collect pictures for the photo project, and more.  Sponsored by BirthNet of the Fingerlakes.  Free.  Saturday, March 13th, noon - 3 pm.  Women's Community Bldg. More information: What/why: In New York State, the freedom to choose midwifery care is in jeopardy.  New legislation, if passed, would protect and expand midwifery options for New York women.  BirthNet of the Fingerlakes is hosting an afternoon of activism and community, designed to celebrate midwifery and educate families on how they can take action. When: Saturday, March 13th, 12p-3p 12 - 1:30    Families together! Through lectures, presentations, discussions, community events and resource lists, BirthNet of the Finger Lakes provides information about all aspects of prenatal, birth and postpartum health.
